A large amount of data of different types has been generated by the project until now, therefore it was necessary to design a data structure to store and handle them. Data structure helps the project team to share and access data more easily and significantly improve the data (pre-)processing. For further analyses and data processing it is also important to keep metadata united across different data types. The data handling structure is designed so far as a folder structure with predefined file naming convention and currently stores the DendroNetwork data online and processed at tree and plot level, associated inventory data, remote sensing outputs and meteorological data.
One of the main purposes of data structure is to serve as a database for a web platform, where the data will be shared with public and processed data and results will be presented.
While access to Forest4Future raw data is open, and not subject to any restrictions or conditions, these data are not directly downloadable via the corresponding pages. Instead, interested users are requested to contact the relevant project partner, which will provide the data as well as assistance on how to best use and interpret it.
